I believe that where we go in life is directly connected to where we have been. Every event that each of us go through brings new paths to travel down.


For me personally, I knew the second I saw my first child born that the miracle of pregnancy and birth, and the wonder of a newborn child had a direct link to my soul. Each day that my children grew I saw a day that was lost to me forever. Like all new moms I started taking lots of snapshots and trying to capture the essence of my children.


After the birth and loss of my 4th son I was faced with the reality that my life had changed forever. I had been given the opportunity to love an angel for a brief time. Not knowing just how brief our time together would be, I ended up with very few precious photographs of him and only one actual photo session from one of the traditional places that we all use for typical photographs. I was heart broken that I didn't really have any beautiful images that truly showed my angels glow.

I started learning more and more about photography and it became my passion. After the birth of my last child and only daughter I knew what I was meant to do. I knew what it had all been for. I took photography classes and for the next three years my children were subjected to so many photo sessions we all laugh about it to this day!


In 1989 I finally got up the nerve to start my business, slowly. In 1999, after photographing many different events from traditional portraits to weddings and anniversaries to high school seniors to business portraits to pets I had an epiphany while photographing my first expectant mom. I remembered what I had already learned way back when my first son was born. My soul was connected to pregnancy, birth and newborns. From that moment I started specializing in those specific areas of photography. I have expanded, just a bit to include children, families and pets because I can draw on my passion in those scenarios also.


My children are now grown and I have been blessed with the pure joy of becoming a grandmother. It all seemed to happen in the blink of an eye. The portraits that I created of my children and now my grandbabies are absolutely priceless to me. When I sit with a new mother and father and tell them that the investment they are about to make in choosing a beautiful portrait or album will be among their most cherished possessions. I am speaking from my heart.
